Our Story:
We embarked on this journey when we found ourselves unable to procure native milkweeds at any of the local retail nurseries. We learned that commercial growers were not providing native milkweeds due to their unique germination and growth requirements.
Papilionem Natives was established to fulfill the gap in commercial growing of native milkweeds. We conducted the necessary research related to the germination and growth characteristics of the genus, which further varies by local species.
We have further expanded to include uncommon native flora of central Texas.
Native Plant Rescue Project
Seeds collected as part of the Native Plant Rescue Project are prepared for germination at PN
The project works with private landowners and municipalities to responsibly rescue plants from development.
